How to get rid of burn pain fast?

While I was making myself a nice cup of tea, a bit of the hot water inside of the cup touched my thumb while I was holding the cup and it hurts so badly. The pain is unbearable for me! It is not blistering or anything. It is just red and sore and hurts a lot. How to get rid of the pain FAST PLEASE IT HURTS.
