Peavey vypyr 15 watt Guitar amp and Boss MT-2 Combo?

I am thinking of getting a boss mt-2 distortion pedal for my peavey vypyr 15 watt amp i wordering if this will work and is it worth it, i was also thinking of the noise suppressor boss ns-2 which one would be best and would they work please?
