Japanese rice is always short grain rice. So you will want to buy a Japanese-style short grain rice. Japan does not export any rice, so it won't be REAL Japanese short grain rice, but Oregan and California have very nice hybrids. Look for those at a local Asain market or grocery store! Good Luck!
