How do I use the efx loop on my peavey?

So I have an me50b pedal and my efx loop on my amp which is a peavey max 112 has a return and a send/cd input, so how do i connect it? Do I connect the input on my pedal and the return with one cable and connect the output and send with another cable or is it vice versa? Which I would connect the input and the send with one cable and the return and output with another one?
